her husband. This farm has always been in the hands of the Smith family.
And so ends the story of the many families that will be displaced. It is crude and incomplete as I said in the beginning only an outline of the people and events taking place in this interesting part of Southern Indiana.
This concludes the series of the Dillard memoirs, unless I happen to find some more in my records. My Mother had four children and Mr. Dillard taught all of us at one time or another. He was my Father’s first cousin. His son Charles and I went to school together and remained friends until his death in 1994.
